Day 5: White.
This little #diy was created with the idea that you can collaborate with your itty-bitties to make something really special.
A keeper-craft that commemorates a moment in time. We did this 3 years ago and it is still on the wall.
EZPZ TWIG & CLAY MOBILE
Materials & Tools:
air dry clay
toothpick, or any poker-type-thingy.
…pull out small pieces of clay and let your itty-bitty pull, roll, press, squish, and twist pieces.
… use a toothpick to poke a hole thru the top of each shape.
… tie many different lengths of string to the twig.
… tie shapes to the string.
… tie a string near the ends of the twig to create a hanger for the mobile.
… hang it on the wall, step back and admire your work.
So easy, even a baby can do it.
Here are some special #nannyintheknow tips for ya’:
… let the clay pieces dry first if possible.
… model magic works well, too. It is light weight and easy for little hands to manipulate. Such a good work-out!
…consider this a jumping off point. Older kids can do textures and stamp shapes.
Are you fond of glitter?
Go for it!
I stayed really simple, because i liked the shapes he created… almost like little rocks or fossils.
