I’m excited to finally share our finished kitchen, with its shiplap-wrapped island, marble-look quartz countertops, single basin sink and matte black faucet, and Jason’s gorgeous 90° herringbone pattern porcelain brick backsplash… just in time for us to move to a new home (granted nothing falls through) and pass this one along to another family! 😬 Yep, we’re moving. It’s a 90s builder-grade fixer that could be stunning with a little sweat and lots of love (or vice-versa). We just LOVE the town we live in, and as much as we’ve cherished this home (and as bittersweet it’ll be for us to leave it), it’s happening. It’s funny because as I write this, I’m realizing that (at least to us), this home is perfect for our needs. We could’ve stayed here another 10 years we love it so much. Amazing neighbors, a farm out back, and each space in this home brings us joy. There really was no reason to move other than that this next home simply caught our attention and will offer a new adventure full of projects where we can continue to do what makes us feel alive: bring character and style into a drab, boring, builder-grade blank slate of a house. This was what we did when we moved into our first home, and now that we’re going to be moving into our second home, we’re excited for the creative challenges and opportunities that await! We hope the new homeowners sense the amount of love we’ve put into this home, and that their family creates amazing memories here, the same way we did when we worked on all these projects, entertained friends and family here, and brought our baby boy home a little more than a month ago. 💙
