This is what Huck looked like at the start of what was meant to be his first road trip. Not even close to being finished, but ready enough for a 4 day jaunt up to Acadia National Park in Maine. We got on the road, super psyched to finally go check out @kentfallsbrewing . Then, in stop and go traffic, not even 20 miles into the trip, the transmission started to slip and overheat. We immediately pulled into a park and ride and were advised to leave it there and get a tow to the shop. I was shattered. Why did this happen now?! Ultimately, it ended up being a good thing it happened when and where it did. Not in the middle of Maine, or worse, the middle of the country while driving solo. Yes, it’s a HUGE bummer and a pretty big setback. I won’t be able to finish as much of the build as I want to before I leave, and I definitely won’t have the funds to buy anything else supply wise for a while. But it also could have been so much worse. Trying to stay positive and make the most of my last 2 weeks on the east coast! 🚐💸🔧 #vanproblems #fordtransit #fordtransitconnect #fordtransitcamper #findinghomeinhuck #huckleberryvan #vanlife #vanliving #vanbuild #buildout #tinyhomeonwheels #ftc #eastcoastbuildout #homeiswhereyouparkit #vanlifestyle #tinyhouse #camperlifestyle #campervanlife #traveling #nomad #instagood #diy #travelphotography #vanlifeideas #adventuremobile #vancrush #picoftheday #photooftheday
