Big kids want to make turkey handprints too! It can be difficult to find holiday themed activities that go with your current content and are grade level appropriate, but I feel like this writing activity can be used in so many ways!
My students will be using their knowledge of figurative language to write a story about a turkey using the 4 types of figurative language we learn in 5th. The next day, students will switch turkeys and interpret the meaning of the other’s figurative language.
I can’t wait to show all their stories! 🦃
